Kurviger on Android Auto

Kurviger can also be used with Android Auto! This means you can navigate comfortably and safely with Kurviger even without a smartphone on the handlebar.

Please note: Android Auto does not support the full range of features offered by the Kurviger app. This is due to technical and design restrictions imposed by Android Auto. We make the best possible use of the available scope, but some features remain exclusive to the app.

To use Kurviger on Android Auto, connect your smartphone to your vehicle display and select the Kurviger app in the Android Auto user interface. Then you can start right away.

In principle, the operation on Android Auto is largely the same as in the Kurviger app. You will find the following functions there:

  • + and zoom in and out of the map
  • Crosshairs centers the map on your current location
  • In the menu, you will find settings
  • With Search you can type a destination into the search bar or use voice search (Google Assistant) to enter it safely while driving ➔ Press the Start now button to begin navigation to your selected destination
  • Navigation starts navigation for your loaded route or (if no route is loaded) follow mode

If you want to plan or change a route, simply switch back to the Kurviger app.

In the menu, you can turn voice guidance on or off and switch between the destination and via point in the navigation display.

  1. Open the Kurviger app on your smartphone.
  2. Load the desired route (e.g., from the Kurviger Cloud).
  3. Open the app on your Android Auto display – this requires that your smartphone is connected to your Android Auto display/motorcycle.
  4. Tap on Navigation – and off you go!

During navigation, Kurviger on Android Auto shows your speed and the speed limit.

Tip: Tapping the screen/ pressing a button during navigation brings up the menu and a button to skip the next via point.

During navigation, you can switch between the Kurviger app on your smartphone and the Android Auto display:

  • Simply tap on Switch to phone on your smartphone
  • or on Switch to Auto on the Android Auto display

You can pause or end navigation at any time via the menu on the Android Auto display.
