Route Transfer to the Navigator VI
Export from Kurviger
- Select
Navigator 5/6in the Kurviger export. - Select
Routeand/orTrack. When exporting a route, you should also select an option forAdditional waypointsso that the route is transferred more accurately. What is the difference between a route and a track? - For current Garmin models, there is an additional option called
Embed Garmin route points. You can find more details here.

Import to the Navigator VI via USB-Connection
- Connect your Navigator to your PC using a USB cable.
- Copy the route file exported from Kurviger to the GPX folder on your Navigator.
- Disconnect the USB connection and start your Navigator.
Note: Too many routes in the device memory slow down the USB connection between the PC and the Navigator. It is therefore best to save routes on an SD card and keep the device memory free of old or unnecessary routes.
Importing a Route on the Navigator VI
- Go to
Apps➜Trip Planner➜☰menu ➜Import - Check the box next to the desired route and tap
Import. Your route will be saved in theTrip Plannerof your Navigator. - Your route will now appear in the list and can be accessed and started for navigation as usual.
Importing a Track on the Navigator VI
- Go to
Apps➜Tracks - Select the desired track in the
Savedtab and then tapImport. - To display the track on the main map, tap the wrench icon (top left) and check
Show on Map. Your track will now be displayed on the map.
