Route Transfer to the TomTom Rider 401

  1. Select TomTom Rider 4XX in the Kurviger export.
  2. Select Route or Track. When exporting a route, you should also select an option for additional waypoints so that the route is transferred more accurately.

Note: With the TomTom Rider 401, tracks and routes cannot be imported together in the same file. So first consider whether you prefer to transfer the track or the route.

What is the difference between a route and a track?

Further information:

The approach is the same for routes and tracks, and the device recognizes whether it is a route (.itn) or a track (.gpx).

  1. Connect your TomTom Rider to your PC using a USB cable and turn the device on. The connection will then be displayed on the navigation screen.
  2. Tap Import Routes on your TomTom Rider.
  3. Your TomTom Rider will appear as a computer drive in the file browser on your PC. Copy the route file exported from Kurviger to the root directory of the internal memory or to the inserted SD card.
  4. Then tap Done on your TomTom and the copied route (.itn) or track (.gpx) will be displayed there.
  5. Check the box next to the desired route and tap Import. The message Routes/tracks are being imported will then be displayed.
  6. Wait for the message Import Completed, then tap OK and disconnect the USB connection.
  7. Your route/track will now appear in the list under MenuMy Routes and can be accessed and started for navigation as usual.
