Plan a Curvy Route Partly via the Motorway
If you prefer a Curvy
route but also want to drive on the motorway for parts of your route – e.g. from the start to the first waypoint – you can simply select a different curvature for these sections of your route. To do this, click/tap on the curvature icon between the two desired waypoints in the waypoint details or on the map and then select the Fastest
curvature.
For very short sections on the motorway, you can also set a shaping point on the motorway. To do this, right-click or tap on the spot on the map where you want to place the shaping point.
⚠ Warning: Most motorways have two opposite lanes, which Kurviger also distinguishes between, so it is important to place the shaping point on the correct side. If the result looks strange, you have probably placed the shaping point on the wrong lane.
Plan Entire Route via Motorway
If you want to force an entire route onto the motorway, you should select Fastest
route as the global curvature setting – Kurviger will then most likely take you on the motorway. If that's not enough, you can try selecting Avoid main roads
and Avoid narrow roads
in the avoidances to force Kurviger to use the motorway even more. Kurviger will then route you mostly on motorways, unless there are no reasonable motorways along the route. Make sure that Avoid toll roads
is not selected if there are tolls on motorways in your country.
