Plan a Route Across Multiple Continents
For technical reasons, it is unfortunately not so easy to calculate routes across continental borders. This means that you have two options for planning routes across continental borders in Kurviger:
- You can split your route into two routes – one towards the border and one from the border.
- You can cross the border using the beeline function – set one waypoint before and one behind the border. You can set the
beeline
between two waypoints by clicking/tapping on the curvature icon between the two desired waypoints in the waypoint details or directly on the map.
Good to know: We have adjusted some of the continental borders to match country borders. For example, the transition from Europe to Asia is blocked at the Russian and Turkish borders. Both border crossings can take several hours and should be planned in advance. Other continent borders must be crossed by ferry or plane, which usually needs to be booked in advance.
Unfortunately, we cannot automatically suggest the best option for everyone. Therefore, we currently believe that separating different continents is an acceptable solution. If this causes problems for your planning, please feel free to contact us in our forum so that we can discuss how things could be improved.
